HRPM Extends Full Support to the People’s Movements for Transparency in Education and Democratic Rights
HRPM (Humanistic Rights Protection Movement), a human rights organisation committed to protecting human rights and upholding the constitutional values of India, extends its full support to the peaceful people’s movements taking place in New Delhi demanding transparency in the country’s education and examination systems. HRPM also expresses its solidarity with social activist Sonam Wangchuk, fellow peaceful protesters, and the growing unity among students, farmers, and civil society.
Education is not merely an administrative service; it is a fundamental pillar of equality, social justice, and equal opportunity guaranteed by the Constitution of India. HRPM considers examination malpractices, question paper leaks, and corruption—which have shattered the dreams and futures of millions of students—to be a serious human rights concern.
At the same time, the constitutional right to peaceful protest must be protected for every citizen. It is the duty of a democratic government to engage with protesting students, farmers, and social activists respectfully and through meaningful dialogue.
HRPM Demands:
Immediate implementation of comprehensive and transparent reforms in the national examination system.
Legal action against all those responsible for examination irregularities and accountability at every administrative level.
Adequate support and compensation for students and families who have suffered due to examination malpractices.
Strengthening effective counselling and mental health support systems for students across the country.
Respect for peaceful democratic protests and the immediate initiation of dialogue with the protesters.
Solidarity from Kerala to the National Movement
HRPM (Humanistic Rights Protection Movement) calls upon human rights defenders, student and youth organisations, social organisations, and all citizens who believe in democracy across Kerala to express their solidarity with this cause through peaceful and constitutional means.
If the future of our nation is to remain secure, transparency in the education sector and public confidence in democratic institutions must be restored. HRPM reaffirms its commitment to extending strong support to all lawful, peaceful, and constitutional democratic initiatives aimed at achieving this objective.
