WHAT IS HRPM?
The Humanistic Rights Protection Movement (HRPM), also known as the Manushyavarga Avakasha Samrakshana Prasthanam, is a movement formed with the objective of carrying out corruption-free human rights activities from the side of the common people against human rights violations and violations of law faced by the people of the country, while upholding mutual respect, brotherhood and human dignity.
FORMATION AND JOURNEY
The movement was initiated on 17 September 2017 at Amballur in Thrissur District.
Under the leadership of Mr. Johnson Pulluthi, a constitutional framework incorporating a cadre-based organisational system, along with clear social perspectives, aims and objectives, was formulated.
On 4 October 2017, HRPM was officially registered in the cultural city of Thrissur under Registration No. TSR/TC/559/2017.
On 1 January 2018, the State Administrative Office of HRPM commenced its functioning at Puthukkad, Thrissur District.
At present, the activities of HRPM are being coordinated through the State Administrative Office at Pulikkan Tower, C.G. Road, Puthukkad, near the Press Club, Thrissur.
MAJOR OBJECTIVES AND ACTION PROGRAMMES
- To fight without compromise against injustice, violations of law, official high-handedness, corruption and moral vigilantism, which deprive ordinary people of their rightful rights and legally entitled benefits.
- To work selflessly in association with other cultural movements, Government systems and public-service organisations for securing the civil rights and service rights of the people.
- To take up and successfully resolve public issues with high cultural dignity and through lawful and democratic means.
- To provide fair and just solutions to complaints received from the public and to extend support through counselling and legal guidance, thereby becoming a source of strength and support to those in need.
- To bring people who are marginalised, neglected or deprived into the mainstream of society by supporting their mental, physical and social upliftment.
APPEAL TO MEMBERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC
It is the need of the present time for HRPM to move forward with greater strength and determination in order to become a strong support for ordinary people who are denied justice and to bring about positive changes in society.
HRPM strives to establish itself as a strong alternative voice against corruption, exploitation and injustice in Kerala.
