Dear brothers and sisters, as we step into the 79th Independence Day,
The freedom we all enjoy today is not merely a celebration for a single day. It is the result of countless sacrifices, the shed blood, and the relentless struggles of brave souls whose memories can never be forgotten.
However, today we witness certain painful truths. The freedom our ancestors gifted us is often diverted for selfish interests and abuse of power.
Injustice, corruption, anger, arrogance, and the erosion of mutual respect have taken root. The benefits of freedom and law are slipping away from common people and are unequally distributed. This weakens the very essence of our independence.
True freedom means protecting every individual’s rights, upholding justice and truth, and safeguarding the dignity and liberty of others. This is the real message our forefathers left us.
On this Independence Day, let us remember that freedom is not only our right but also our responsibility. Justice, equality, brotherhood, and respect are the heartbeat of freedom. Let us pledge to preserve them.
