Humanistic Rights Protection Movement (HRPM)
The Humanistic Rights Protection Movement (HRPM) strongly condemns the action attributed to the President of the United States, involving the forcible entry into the territory of Venezuela—a sovereign and independent nation—and the arrest and transfer of its President for trial in the United States.
Such an act constitutes a grave violation of national sovereignty, a direct breach of international law, and a serious assault on the foundational principles of the United Nations Charter. No nation, regardless of its power or influence, has the legal or moral authority to intervene militarily or coercively in the internal affairs of another sovereign state.
The attempt to impose the domestic laws of the United States upon the President of Venezuela is legally untenable and ethically indefensible. National laws are applicable only within a country’s own jurisdiction and cannot be extended extraterritorially through force or intimidation.
This action represents not merely an offense against Venezuela, but a dangerous warning to all independent nations. It sets a precedent where power overrides law, and coercion replaces justice—thereby threatening global peace, democratic principles, and the international legal order.
Under the guise of enforcing justice or protecting human rights, such unilateral actions instead result in serious human rights violations, including the denial of due process, the right to liberty, and the collective dignity of a nation’s people.
HRPM firmly asserts that human rights must never be weaponized for political dominance, nor should international law be selectively applied to serve the interests of powerful states.
We call upon global leaders, international institutions, and civil society to unequivocally reject such actions and to reaffirm their commitment to equality among nations, respect for sovereignty, and adherence to international law.
All nations are equal.
All peoples have the right to dignity, freedom, and self-determination.
Any action that disregards these fundamental principles poses a serious threat to human rights and global peace.
